Review of T.J. Farms Select Bowtie Pasta with Italian Sausage and Alfredo Sauce Dinner

Affordable and Microwave Friendly

Bridgitte Williams

I was not familiar with any T.J. Farms Select brand food products when I came across T.J. Farms Select Bowtie Pasta with Italian Sausage and Alfredo Sauce Dinner in the frozen meals sections of my local Dollar Tree store. This dish looked very good. I decided to purchase it, try it out and write a product review all about my experience with it. Here is what I discovered!

I bought one T.J. Farms Select Bowtie Pasta with Italian Sausage and Alfredo Sauce Dinner for only one dollar. What a food budget friendly price. This dish is very creative, I discovered! It has bowtie pasta, Alfredo cream sauce, sliced Italian sausage and crumbles, spinach, white wine, Romano and Parmesan cheeses, garlic and many other ingredients in it. That all sounded fabulous to me. I could not wait to taste this meal!

This dinner is perfect for microwave cooking and that is how I prepared it. I placed the bowl in my microwave, cooked on high for two minutes, pulled the cover back, stirred, replaced the cover, cooked on high for two more minutes, removed the cover, let stand for one minute, stirred again and served. This dish smelled wonderful and looked very good. When I tasted T.J. Farms Select Bowtie Pasta with Italian Sausage and Alfredo Sauce Dinner, I liked it. It has lots of tender pasta and yummy sausage in it. The creamy Alfredo sauce is tasty and the spinach and cheeses add a nice flavor to this meal in a bowl. You get a lot of food with this one, for your money. I liked that fact. This meal is hot and hearty and great for winter months. It is so easy to prepare, and it warms you up from the inside. Great comfort food for sausage lovers. It does have a slight artificial taste to it, but it is not too bad.

I rate T.J. Farms Select Bowtie Pasta with Italian Sausage and Alfredo Sauce Dinner three and one half stars out of five stars. It is such an interesting dish. This meal has 380 calories in it. 170 calories are from fat. It has 13 grams of total fat, 8 grams of saturated fat, 2.5 grams of trans fat, 40 mg's of cholesterol, 950 mg's of sodium, 38 grams of total carbs, 4 grams of dietary fiber, 5 grams of sugars and 17 grams of protein. This meal provides me with twenty-five percent of my daily vitamin A need. It also has nice amounts of vitamin C, iron and calcium in it. This product has milk and wheat ingredients.

I had fun trying this meal and writing a product review about it. It is affordable and so different. Worth a try, for sure. I plan on trying other T.J. Farms Select foods. This dinner has Psalm 119:105 on it. "Your world is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." So beautiful. I was really inspired by the bible verse being on a frozen dinner. Who sees that everyday? Not me. I do a lot of food product reviews and I have to say that this is the first bible verse I have ever seen on the back of a box. Awesome.

I love bowtie pasta. This sounds like my hubby's kind of food. Anything Italian is right up his alley.

I never saw a bible verse on a frozen dinner before either! Good catch, cheers - thanks for sharing this one :)
