I'm always attracted to those 'blockbuster' makeup compacts. You know, those huge compacts marketed as Christmas gifts, containing every makeup shade you could possibly imagine. The makeup possibilities are endless and I can't help but lust after the rows and rows of untouched shadows and creams. But to be completely honest, I find those over-sized compacts rather impractical. I am always on the go, and my days are long, so I feel the need to keep my makeup handy. So while I love the giant pallets, what I buy are teeny tiny purse sized compacts. Too Faced Glamour to Go Dream Edition is as close to compact perfection as I have ever seen.
Great compact, great colors. I adore the cute little, vintage inspired black compact. The top lid flips open to reveal a surprisingly large mirror, and eight shadows. The shadows are versatile, yet far from boring with a mix of eight shades. The shades are: pale pink shimmer, cream, matte chocolate brown, copper pink shimmer, steel gray shimmer, charcoal shimmer, electric violet, and mauve shimmer. They are perfectly, pearlescently on trend, giving you the ability to create a smokey eye, an electric purple eye, a neutral eye, and everything in between.
Mix 'n match makeup. If you pull out a mini drawer in the compact, you'll find blush, bronzer, and lip gloss. The blush is 'fresh pink' and is a soft, peachy, pink, with a hint of pearly shimmer. Layer it for intensity, or blend it for softness. The bronzer is 'luminous tan,' and gives you just a hint of warmth. It makes a great blush, too, or mix the two for a fun combo. The girly lip gloss is 'bright pearly pink,' which gives the sweetest, softest lip.
Perfectly, pearlescently on trend. The Glamour to Go case contains no makeup tools, so you'll need to bring along your own. That's ok with me, though, since I rarely use the little sponge-y things included in most compacts. I would rather spring for a tiny, portable brush set to bring along. It's colors are perfectly on trend for this seasons fashionable ladies, with pearly shadows, blush, and gloss, and a softly effervescent bronzer. A lot of times, shimmery makeup seems to fall away throughout the day, but these great colors stay where you put them. And there is surprisingly little shadow fall out for the intensity of the colors, as well. Without a doubt, the Two Faced's Glamour to Go Dream Edition is my favorite compact for this season. And at a reasonable price of just $22 (a $98 value) I might just pick up a spare.
