Review - Tracfone's $30 Straight Talk Prepaid Plan: Get a Lot for a Little
The $30 Straight Talk Plan is One of the Most Affordable Prepaid Plans Out There
And those who are interested in prepaid are beginning to get really interested, and if they have not made the jump yet, they are just about to. With plans like those from Straight Talk prepaid, you can't blame them.
See it was not that long ago that prepaid was not even really considered as an option by the average cell phone user. Well the times have changed as people have noticed how much money they may be able to save on a prepaid cell phone plan. If you're looking to trim some dollars from your cell phone bills, then prepaid may be the way to go for you.
If you don't know how prepaid, or as it's often called "pay as you go," works, then here's a brief primer. With prepaid, you do not have to sign a contract with the wireless service provider, you do not have to undergo a credit check, you never have to pay termination fees, and you have no commitment to the company at all.
All of these features, or non-features, are attractive in their own right, but what about the savings? With many of the new prepaid plans that are available, you can save a bunch of money on your monthly bill.
Unlimited Prepaid Cell Phone Plans
Unlimited prepaid plans are some of the best deals out there today. Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, and Tracfone Straight Talk all have unlimited prepaid plans that may work for your particular situation. One of the cheapest plans, which actually is not an unlimited plan, is the $30 Straight Talk plan that provides 1,000 minutes of talk time and 1,000 text messages.

For most cell phone users, this is plenty of talk time and text messages. Still, there are some heavier talkers who may prefer more out of their prepaid plan. In these cases, the $45 Straight Talk Unlimited Prepaid plan is a good option.
With this plan, subscribers receive limitless talk time, unlimited text messages, 30 mb of data, and free 411 calling. For a $45 monthly fee, this is a good deal for unlimited use. Also, both of the Straight Talk plans run on the Verizon network, which is widely regarded as providing some of the best coverage out there.
If you're looking for a new cell phone plan, prepaid may be a good option to look at. It may work out for you and save you money. The $30 Straight Talk plan is very attractive as is its more expensive counterpart, the Unlimited plan. A lot of things have changed in the cell phone market--both in postpaid and prepaid--and you have many more very affordable options than a year ago. Prepaid phone plans, as evidenced by the Straight Talk plans, has really changed and will continue to change into what will interest more and more cell phone users. There is a lot of competition out there, which is always a good thing for shoppers. It's a buyers market in many ways.
You can see this in the fact that Sprint recently added free mobile-to-mobile to any network for its customers. That means the users can contact someone on a Verizon phone and not pay more money. MetroPCS and Leap Wireless have also stepped up and are doing things similar to the $30 Straight Talk plan from Tracfone.

Post a CommentI just got my stright talk phone and I LOVE it. The only thing I wish is that since I am on the $30.00 a month plan I wish I knew how many text messages I have left in my account, (I get 1000 texts a month). Other than that it is great. I have a key board with my phone. Reception is great. I LOVE my tracfone.
Straight Talk is horrible! You get what you pay for. My girlfriend and I just spent two trying to straighten out our phone with their nightmarish customer support team. They have no clue what they're doing. Half of them don't even speak usable English. There is no way to manage your account online and no way to track your purchase. If one of your refills goes bad, you just loose money. Period! Good luck.
You know about cell phone companies. Well done.
I just got the Straight Talk service and it is so wonderful! Ok so times are tough and I was spending over a hundred dollars a month on my phone bill and I just couldn't do it anymore. So I got Straight Talk and I pay only 45 dollars a month for unlmited texting, talking, and data. ITS JUST UNBELIEVEABLE! I can't imagine anyone doing anything else. The service is great because its on the verizon network and the phones are wonderful as well! First off - there is no contract so if you need to stop using your phone... BAM its all good. I can't believe I didn't know about Straight Talk last year... I HIGHLY SUGGEST looking into it!
That's good to hear you like your new prepaid plan Shrian. Best.
The Tracfone Straight talk program is great! I used to use Metro but then decided to switch when I wasn't getting service ANYWHERE! When I heard about Straight Talks unlimited talk time and text plan, I was a bit skeptical, but thought, 'heck, what do i got to lose?' . Well after 2 months, I am very happy with the plan and service. Low cost and unlimited everything, not to mention NO CONTRACTS! It doesn't get much better than this when it comes to cell phone plans.
A touch screen is always a nice thing on a cell phone. It's nice that Straight Talk has the option for a better phone.
I just got the new Samsung phone with the slider keyboard for the holidays and I LOVE IT!!! I have the unlimited plan and I've been texting for days now...perfect for the starving college student. I was impressed with the choice of phones on the website, heck they even have a touch screen phone on there.
