Review: Trademark Poker Texas Traveler Folding Poker Table and Chip Set

Good Choice for Someone Who Travels a Lot, but Not the Highest Quality

Are you looking for a very convenient portable poker table top? Well, then Texas Traveler Folding Poker Table and Chip Set by Trademark is one of the better ones I have found on the market for ease of transportation. What is great about this portable poker top is that it folds into a smaller size than most other competing portable table top poker tables. The Texas Traveler Folding Poker Table and Chip Set by Trademark folds into a convenient 2 feet by 2 feet size for transportation.

At it's full size the Texas Traveler Folding Poker Table and Chip Set by Trademark is 48 inches by 48 inches when it is expanded out to the playing size. It has eight player locations at the table. Honestly this table is better for a small game of four to six players. I have found that the Texas Traveler Folding Poker Table and Chip Set by Trademark tends to get rather crowded when you have eight people playing at the table. As long as your average poker game is four to six players the extra portability outweighs the crowding issue. If your regular game is larger than six players, this Texas Traveler Folding Poker Table and Chip Set by Trademark probably isn't your best choice.

Other issues with the table top I have noticed include the drink and chip holders. These are not removable. We tried to make one removable using a screwdriver to loosen the edges, but now that holder falls out when folding the table top for transportation. Unlike some portable table top poker playing tops, the Texas Traveler Folding Poker Table and Chip Set by Trademark comes with some extras including chips.

The set comes with a carrying case for transporting the Texas Traveler Folding Poker Table and Chip Set by Trademark on your back, this makes it convenient for vacations such as the beach or camping. The set also includes a small carrying case with 300 chips. These are good as a backup set or to supplement a full set, but if you have more than four people playing 300 chips usually will not be sufficient. Other accessories in the case include two relatively high quality decks of playing cards and buttons to indicate the dealer, big blind, and little blind.

At $65 the Texas Traveler Folding Poker Table and Chip Set by Trademark isn't one that I would recommend unless you are looking for something extremely portable. Other poker table tops that fold into slightly larger sizes for transportation can be found for about $20 less. The chips included are not a major selling point in my opinion, as you really need at least 500 chips for a game over four players.

  • The fact that this table top folds into a 24 inch by 24 inch size makes it very portable.
  • I highly recommend this for those that enjoy playing poker when camping or at the beach.
  • The table is a little crowded when you have a full 8 people playing in the poker game.
This set does come with a 300 chip case of chips, which can be used to supplement any larger sets you have for your regular poker game. If your regular game is just 4 players, the 300 chips should be enough.
