Review of How to Train Your Dragon?

'm a big fan of 3D movies especially any movie directed by Pixar because every one of their movies is an instant hit as they always do great at the box office. I heard so many great things about this movie from friends and/or family so I just couldn't wait any longer and so I decided to go out and pay a visit to see this movie. I knew that by going through and watching this movie I wouldn't be surprised because I was expecting big things from Pixar as they always go way and beyond any other producing company.

Viewing this movie in 3D was mind bobbling because of it's beautiful scenery and animations. I was fairly impressed with the great story line that How To Train A Dragon had because it was a great one. As the movie was progressing I assumed it was only going to be about Vikings fighting various dragons living in the middle of nowhere.

The story is about a father (the Viking chief) a strong and burly man and his young son named Hiccup, a frugal, slick and at times a sarcastic talker who is also very disobedient at times (doesn't like to listen), he also tries to gain his father's respect in order to impress him. The Viking chief was against the thought of his son becoming a dragon warrior, but than gives into his son's wishes and suddenly allows his son to train with the various other training cadets. Hiccup wanting to impress his father shoots a trap shot at a dragon and it turns out to be one of the most dangerous and powerful of all dragons named a Nightfury. So the very next day he finds out that it indeed was a dragon, he was supposed to kill it with his very own sword in order to impress his dad, but instead he has second thoughts and allows it to escape, he lacked the will power to do so. He develops a friendship and even names it Toothless (Nightfury) as if it were his pet and tries to understand everything about them through this particular dragon.

All of the dragons are indeed mysteriously tough warriors and as ferocious as can be in their own ways. It's quite a mystery as well as to why the dragons are attacking the Vikings and what not. You'll slowly find out as to why their doing so and that's exactly why this film's so great.
