Review of TRESemme's Thermal Collections Straigtening Gel

When I say I have hard to control hair, I mean I have very hard to control hair. Being Hispanic, it is often wild and has a mind of its own, especially when it comes to humid days (which are numerous in my home state of Florida). That being said, I get very excited when I can find a product that will help calm my massive, frizzy curls and turn my hair into something manageable and pleasing to they eyes and touch. I found just that product in TRESemme's Thermal Collections Straigtening Gel.

I just randomly grabbed this product one day when I was shopping and was very eager to try it. The price was very inexpensive (around $3) and it came in larger packaging than most products that claim to leave hair smooth and straight. The description claims it can significantly shorten straightening time, which is a big perk to someone who often takes up to 45 minutes just to flatten out the more unruly curls. After taking my shower, I rubbed a small amount of the straightening gel between my hands, as the directions indicated, and then combed it through my wet hair. I then proceeded to blow dry it and could even tell the difference after I was done blow drying my hair. It felt soft and less poofy than it normally does after blow drying.

I then proceeded to straighten my hair. As I said, it usually takes me 45 minutes to get my hair near where I would like to have it. After using this product, however, it only took me 20 minutes, and my hair looked nearly perfect! Not only was it straight after just one go through of the straightener, it looked shiny and healthy ... just the thing I have such a hard time achieving with my stubborn locks! Not only that, but even after I spent the day out, I came home to my hair being just as straight and lovely as when I left that day. This is a serious improvement from what my hair has been for many years.

Overall, TRESemme's Thermal Collections Straigtening Gel is a wonderful product. It left my hair straight and manageable and cut my straightening time down by over half. The only problem I have with it is that it does build up after a few days of use, so try to use a clarifying shampoo every few days if you have the same problem as I did. However, for around $3, this was a great buy.
