Review of Unique Food Offerings at Busch Stadium in St. Louis

St. Louis Offers Some Items that Other Parks Haven't Picked Up on Yet

I have been visiting many different baseball stadiums throughout the country here at the start of the season. One of my favorite things to do is to sample unique food offerings. Busch Stadium in St. Louis has several that are great options. Busch Stadium is the baseball stadium in St. Louis, Missouri that is home to the National League's St. Louis Cardinals. When I attended a game there recently my hopes were not very high on finding unique food offerings. I figured it would have your standard baseball fare. I was right and wrong. Busch Stadium does have lots of standard baseball food, but they also have some unique offerings for food at a baseball stadium I have not seen at other stadiums I visited. The theme on these unique offerings would have to be called creativity.

The unqiue offerings at Busch Stadium in St. Louis come in two different locations. These are the Asian Action Cart, and the Fry Action stand. Both of these share one common theme, they allow baseball fans attending a game at Busch Stadium in St. Louis to customize their food. I'm sure from the lines at these stands that Cardinals fans love this option, and as a visiting fan I was really impressed.

The Asian Action Cart at Busch Stadium allows you to create your own stir-fry. You get to choose what you want to have in your stir fry and the price reflects what you choose. You can have either chicken or beef, along with vegetables stir fried for you there at Busch Stadium in St. Louis while attending a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game. I chose the chicken and veggies, and found that it was cooked perfectly. Sometimes you worry about these stands undercooking or overcooking the meat when serving large numbers of baseball fans, but that wasn't the case at Busch Stadium's Asian Action Cart. The chicken also had a nice flavor to it and the vegetables were crisp and not overcooked.

Of course later in the game I was looking for something a little lighter for a snack. I had seen their Fry Action Stand earlier while going to my seat at Busch Stadium so I decided to go and try it out. These aren't your typical french fries. You get to flavor them from their choice of seasonings. The two that they had when I attended the game were garlic-parmesan fries and cajun seasoning fries with chili cheese sauce. The employee I spoke with at the stand indicated they will be trying different flavors at times during the season. Of course my idea of having a "light snack" quickly dissapeared when I choose the cajun seasoned fries with chili-cheese sauce. These were a great baseball treat, even though I will admit that the sauce was a little cheesier than my preference. For those of you that like cheese fries though this is a great option.

So, if you are enjoying a baseball game at Busch Stadium this season in St. Louis, consider visiting either the Asian Action Cart or the Fry Action Stand to supplement the standard baseball food you might usually get at the stadium. For visiting fans especially you really need to try these as I have not seen them at other stadiums I have visited, just at Busch Stadium.

  • The stir fry is served in a convenient to-go box instead of on a plate that could make things messy.
  • The chili-cheese sauce for the fries is a little heavy on the cheese and light on the chili.
  • Busch Stadium is home to the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.
If you are a visiting fan, I highly recommend trying these unique offerings. You probably won't find them at your home baseball park. For Cardinals fans, you are lucky enough to have unique offerings at every game you attend.
