The University of Wisconsin - Stout is a Wisconsin university that has over 9,000 students attending, pursuing both graduate and undergraduate degrees. When I first heard of Stout, I wanted to learn more about getting a Criminal Justice degree from the college, although I was upset to hear that Stout does not even offer a Criminal Justice major, which is a fairly basic major that most all other colleges do offer.

I decided that I would still give Stout a go, and major in Business Administration, trying to determine if that may be something I am interested in. Well, everything seems to go fine until you have a question about Financial Aid, technical problems you're having with the internet, or just about anything else. The professors are actually helpful for the most part, although it's the other staff members that you will experience problems with.

Most of the problem comes because Stout allows students to work in just about every position in the university. If you call or email anyone for support, it's usually a college student that will answer your questions, although they don't always know what they are talking about. Well, they actually don't really ever know what they are talking about.

One time that I can think of in particular is when I had to call someone regarding financial aid. After waiting on hold for some time, I was told to call someone else and ask them. After calling the person I was referred to, I was told that they don't know anything about what I asked, and they didn't know who would be able to help me. Well, I said, this is just great. I called back the original person I talked to, and they then proceeded to help me with my original question. Maybe they just didn't feel like helping me at first? Who knows. You never really know what sort of customer support you will receive at Stout. Sometimes it can be good, and sometimes it's awful.
