COLOR
This palette comes with a mini brush (which is actually quite wonderful for a mini brush) and four colors: Midnight Cowboy, Oil Slick, Stray Dog and Flipside. Each color is 1 gram (not bad compared to an average sized Urban Decay shadow at 1.5 grams) and they all go perfectly together. This is perfect for a neutral look with a pop of color, a day look, or even a night look, if you use the colors differently. Flipside is a green with subtle hints of blue; Stray Dog is a deep brown; Oil Slick is a pure black with silver glitter; and last but certainly not least, Midnight Cowboy is beige with silver glitter. When I use this palette, I use Oil Slick as an eyeliner or Flipside if I'm feeling different, and they both work wonderfully.
FORMULA
These colors are super, super pigmented, blend very easily, and complement each other extremely well. While Oil Slick and Midnight Cowboy are very glittery, it settles in eventually, and you can't feel it or notice it. Sometimes Flipside does not show up as well as the others sometimes, but the color can be easily built. These are the kind of eyeshadows that pop even without the famous Eyeshadow Primer Potion.
FUNCTIONALITY
This palette is really portable and all-around amazing, especially for a beginner in makeup. Since all the colors go so well together, there is no stress about which ones you should use. As I mentioned earlier, it is perfect for neutral with a pop, day look, or an even a night/going-out look. This is a great palette to keep in your purse, and its slim design makes it perfect for any makeup bag as it is a complete look.
PACKAGING
The foreshadow palette is packed much like the Deluxe Shadow Box, in the thin, velvet-purple packaging. It, too, has the metal mesh-chain link material, however, I find that it can get kinks in it rather easily and they don't always come out. The inside of the palette is a light purple with dark purple graphics around the large mirror. The packaging is typical Urban Decay, and definitely just as chic and interesting.
PRICE
This palette originally retailed for $24, which is a great deal. At $6 an eyeshadow, it's like buying four drugstore shadows. However, it is currently on sale for $13.99 on urbandecay.com. At this sale price, that works out to just $3.50 a shadow! That is a deal much too great to pass up.
FINAL OPINIONS
Overall, this palette is a steal for the price and an amazing product. Getting four Urban Decay eyeshadows for $14? That's less than if you bought one MAC Shadow.... I recommend this palette to anyone, whether you are a beginner, or the best makeup artist in the world. This palette is my favorite of all my palettes and you will never find this makeup addict without it!
