Vaseline Intensive Care Firming and Radiance Lotion claims to diminish the visible signs of aging skin; including the appearance of lines and dark spots, dullness, lack of elasticity, and dryness. It also includes SPF 5 to protect your skin from the suns damaging rays. It states that you will notice an immediate smoothness and hydration of your skin and it will begin to look healthy and radiant even.
The directions tell you to apply it liberally and thoroughly massage it into your skin. The product doesn't state which area of your skin it is best suited for so I have used it on my arms, legs, feet, hands, and even my face. It also doesn't state how frequently you should use the product, but I used it daily after bathing.
The first thing you may notice after using it is that it isn't greasy feeling and doesn't leave a lotion residue on your skin. It absorbs rather nicely and certainly leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. It has a pleasant smell that isn't overwhelming or flowery. I never noticed a radiance or healthy glow, even after a month's use though.
I did notice some changes in my skin however. The majority of change I noticed was when using it on my face. It is the perfect moisturizer to use after washing your face and before applying makeup. This is especially true if you have "combination" skin that has some dry spots and some oily spots. It moisturizes the dry spots wonderfully and doesn't over moisturize the oily spots where other lotions have a tendency to. After a few weeks of use my face did appear smoother and the dryness was minimal compared to before.
I did have a few laugh lines starting to appear on my face before using Vaseline Intensive Care Firming and Radiance Lotion and since applying it daily they have all but disappeared. I don't know that I would go as far as to say my skin feels or appears any firmer however, or that the elasticity has improved.
Overall, would I recommend this product? Absolutely I would. I don't know that it keeps all of its promises, but it is certainly useful and I did notice a difference in my skin. I feel that it is much better suited as a facial moisturizer more than anything else, but if you have dark spots, elasticity problems or firmness issues on other areas of your skin it may prove effective. In an isle full of expensive products that tout the same guarantees you can't beat the price of under ten dollars (exact price depends upon the size of the bottle you choose) either.

Post a CommentMy face tends to become dry too. I've been using lotion to remove eye make up, and I bet this would be perfect. It's better than baby oil, and leaves the skin around the eyes soft and smooth. Excellent review. I'm going to try it.
