Review of the Verizon LG Chocolate 3

A Look at How Well the New Chocolate 3 Works

I purchased the Verizon LG Chocolate 3 last week and I wanted to let other consumers know about this product. I have been overall pleased with Verizon over the years, so when my contract came up for renewal I knew I would sign with Verizon again. I purchased the Dare but I knew by the next day that it was not a phone that would work for me long-term. So I took the Dare back the next day and got the Chocolate 3.

The Chocolate 3 is a flip phone. I have the "black" version but it is actually blue on the cover. This phone has a screen on the top that you can adjust the background photo to whatever you would like it to be. It also has the directional wheel on the cover, similar to the first two Chocolate phones.

This version of the Chocolate still has all the same buttons on the side like the first two but they are not as sensitive. The camera lens is also on the top of the cover for easy picture access. Having the lens in that position also makes it easy to take picture of yourself because then you can hold it just right to get that picture for your MySpace profile.

This Chocolate comes with about a gigabyte of space for music. You can buy additional storage space for your music if you need it. The speakers have a good volume on them and it's pretty clear. My favorite music feature is the FM transmitter. With it, I can move from vehicle to vehicle and listen to my music without carrying bulky CDs. This phone is definitely good for music lovers who do not want to carry around an iPod. In addition to that, the phone comes with the standard V-Cast and Rhapsody but to use them you have to subscribe to them.

The directional pad on the inside is customizable for short cuts. The quick buttons are easy to use and convenient. This gives you the ability to use the programs that you use the most with just a click of a button. The programs that you do not use the most are still easy to find and use with the menu.

An annoying part to the phone is that the lock button is a little tough to use if you have large hands. Most of the functions are not that different from the older Chocolate phone though. This is the first Chocolate flip phone but it does not take away from any of the benefits and functionality of the phone. I would definitely recommend this phone. It has been a great phone so far and I really enjoy owning it.
