Review of Wendy's Bold Buffalo Boneless Wings

Candice W.
I love spicy foods and am also a fan of boneless chicken. So when I had an opportunity to taste Wendy's Bold Buffalo Boneless Wings I jumped at the chance.

Here's my review of Wendy's new chicken menu item.

When I first saw Wendy's Bold Buffalo Boneless Wings, they reminded me of Buffalo Wild Wings' boneless wings, which I enjoy. So I was eager to give them a try. Would the Wendy's Bold Buffalo Boneless Wings match up to other spicy boneless wings? We'd see.

The Wendy's Bold Buffalo Boneless Wings is made of 100 percent white chicken. Wendy's promotes the chicken as tender and juicy. The chicken is hand tossed in their signature buffalo sauce made with cayenne pepper.

The buffalo boneless wings have some spice to them, but they aren't very hot spicy, not for me anyway. I like really spicy foods and these are just okay in that department. Grab a bottle of your favorite cayenne-based hot sauce to pour of these if you're looking for some added kick.

A serving of boneless wings has about eight wing pieces. Each serving comes with Heartland Ranch dipping sauce or blue cheese dipping sauce you can use as a dipping sauce. The ranch and/or the blue cheese sauce are nice complements to the cayenne flavor for the wings.

The chicken meat is white as advertised and tender. If you eat the boneless wings in a timely matter they're at their most tender. They aren't that bad as leftovers either. Just reheat in the microwave of throw them in the oven to retain some crispiness. Don't heat them for too long so you don't dry them out.

Since the wings are boneless they're easy to eat. They aren't messy because you can use a fork to eat them.

As for nutrition the Wendy's Bold Buffalo Boneless Wings there are 520 calories per serving, 160 calories from fat. There are 18 grams of fat, 58 grams of carbohydrates and 31 grams of protein. The sodium is on the high side at 2630 mg of sodium.

If you also have a serving of Heartland Ranch dipping sauce, it'll add 160 calories and 17 grams of fat. Blue cheese dipping sauce is an additional 200 calories and 21 grams of fat.

Depending on the location, Wendy's Bold Buffalo Boneless wings are about $3.99. The price seems pretty reasonable to me.

Overall I would give Wendy's Bold Buffalo Boneless Wings my approval. I plan to eat more of this delicious lunch or dinner item in the future.

I work at a wendy's and the chicken is good but is frozen, cooked and then left in a heat bin. The buffalo sauce is made with CORN SYRUP. the same stuff in soda instead of vinegar. If you're a true wing lover as I am.

These look alike fake sauce fake wings wont quench your thirst for a good wing.

Great review. Good thing I checked your source page because I didn't receive any of your publication notices.

I've tried the Buffalo wings as well as the BBQ wings- haven't tried the Sweet 'n Sour ones yet. I loved them too. I hope Wendy's keeps them on the menu. :-D
