Review of Western Sizzlin in Seminole, Oklahoma

There are many great restaurants all over the place, but some aren't as excellent as others. Seminole, Oklahoma is not a huge town, but it has a wide variety of restaurants. One of these is Western Sizzlin. This is a restaurant located at 2218 North Milt Phillips Avenue. The chain has actually been open for over 45 years. My family used to eat there when I was a little girl. We stopped eating here a long time ago because we started going to a diner that was closer to home. My husband and I were in town one day and I told him we should see how good it still is. He agreed and we went to see how the food was. When you first walk into the restaurant you notice that it is very clean. It is a buffet style restaurant, but you can also order items.

You have to actually pay for the food before you eat. This is a great advantage because you will know exactly what it all costs, there are no surprises. They will fill your drink orders, give you plates, and take your order. They always have a special that has some type of steak with the buffet. You will also get a baked potato with it. I happened to think that their steaks are pretty good most of the time. They are seasoned well sometimes and other times they are a little bland though. There buffet is the best though. They always have a great salad bar with all types of veggies and fruit. They are always fresh! They also have a taco bar most of the time and a desert bar. Normally you can find fried and grilled chicken, meatloaf, and occasionally ribs on the buffet. The ribs are excellent because they have the best seasoning. Overall the buffet for two people with two drinks is around $20, which is pretty good.

Overall this is a very nice family restaurant. They offer a wide variety of items on their buffet. There is something for everyone. This is a great place to take the whole family because it is a family oriented restaurant. I absolutely love it. The food is always good, but sometimes the steaks aren't seasoned well. They will cook them to order though. If you are looking for an affordable place for the whole family to eat, check out this restaurant or another one in the chain. They have over 150 restaurants in 22 states, so chances are you might have one closer to you than you think. There are many items on their buffet that are excellent. First is the salad, the dressings are amazing! Plus there are so many types of veggies and fruits that they have to offer. The second thing that I love is their grilled chicken. I have never had grilled chicken that was seasoned so well. Also it's not dry! The third item I love is their cherry cobbler. It is always excellent.
