Review of Whirlpool Quiet Partner I Dishwasher

Angela Kimball
I can't think of too many people who really love the task of doing dishes. In fact, I am one person who knows washing dishes is essential, but I really could think of other things to do. A dishwasher is a girl's best friend. It is crucial to find a dishwasher that saves time and reduces your workload. My Whirlpool dishwasher seems to do just that.

With a family of six, I really go through dishes. Of course, everybody uses dishes, but somehow, mom seems to be the only one who washes the dishes. Lucky me.

When it came time to choose a new dishwasher, I wanted to find one that is large enough to hold numerous dishes at once. Why waste the money to run a full cycle of dishes for just a handful of dishes? The Whirlpool dishwasher wasn't the cheapest variety, but it certainly was worth the little extra cash for all of this space. I can fit a roaster pan and a few pots on the bottom rack if needed. Casseroles, pitchers, and baking sheets fit nicely in this dishwasher.

Even the top rack has deep areas and plenty of clearance for bowls, small plates, and large cups. I can easily fit my family's dishes into this dishwasher with little effort. It would take a single person days to fill it up, but for large families, the Whirlpool dishwasher is the way to go.

The Quiet Partner I dishwasher from Whirlpool really lives up to its name. My old dishwasher would run and clunk so loudly that I could easily hear it across the house. This dishwasher is so quiet that I literally have to lean down to hear it running if the television is on in the next room. It is quiet enough to run during the night.

The Whirlpool Quiet Partner I dishwasher has a delayed start feature. I personally do not use this feature often because I am always home and able to use it whenever I want, but if you are waiting for someone to get out of the shower or want to wash dishes while you were away, this is a nice feature for the dishwasher.

The Whirlpool dishwasher has a front panel with computerized information that indicates whether the dishwasher is cleaning, drying, etc. This feature isn't helpful to me, since I am blind and unable to read it, but my kids seem to be impressed with the feature. I appreciate the raised buttons on the panel. This makes it accessible and easy to use for the visually impaired.

Best of all,

The dishwasher really saves time. The dishes really do get clean. Sure, I have to get the major chunks off of the dishes, but there is no need to put spotless dishes into this dishwasher. Dishes that would have been nasty after a cycle in my old dishwasher come out clean and shiny in the Whirlpool dishwasher.

I would recommend the Whirlpool Quiet Partner I for large families. The dishwasher is so roomy that it will hold all kinds of dirty dishes. It is extremely quiet. This dishwasher is well worth the money. I highly recommend it.

Get a new dishwasher, rip it out, they are junk and clean horribly. I just bought a new basic GE model with the knob to replace this $499 Whirlpool piece of junk. We will not have no more dirty dishes, or cloudy glasses, even with small amounts of soap. You can try resetting it, it won't work, it is junk. Total junk. Buy the cheapest GE dishwasher with a knob and save yourself the headache of a washer running 3 hours and never getting anything clean.

Our Whirlpool Quiet Partner I dishwasher is on strike. We have been going through the re-set process frequently becasue the dishwasher gets stuck on the "clean" cycle. The machine sounds like it's working for a cycle, but it doesn't heat up, and we think it's just running water and not actually cleaning. After it's finished its cycle it just gets stuck back on the clean setting (and the dishes are not clean). Any suggestions? Thank you, Mike K. in Virginia 2/4/10
