Whistling Straits Golf Course Resort is located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and is home to the two (2) golf courses named "Straits" and "Irish" courses. Whistling Straits has hosted the PGA Championship, Palmer Cup as well as the U.S. Senior Open.

The Strait Golf Course features a lot of rugged terrain and is situated along Lake Michigan providing some spectacular views of scenery. This course was designed by famous golf course designer Pete Dye and features 18 challenging holes. The cost to play Strait Golf Course costs around $340 per 18-holes. Also, you have to get a caddie to play this course and costs around $65 dollars.

The Irish Golf Course is a little more inland from the Strait Golf Course and features some unique terrain as well. Cost to play this course runs around $170 per 18-holes.

Whistling Straits Golf Course Resort features an elegant clubhouse that is designed to the old architect of Ireland. The clubhouse provides outstanding views of the Strait Golf Course. The clubhouse features a fully stocked golf shop where you can buy the latest greatest golf accessories you need. Also, located in the clubhouse is the Whistling Strait Restaurant offering meals similar to what is found in Ireland and Scotland. All prices within the restaurant are affordable as well as the drinks that are available.

Whistling Straits is comprised of very distinct designs not seen in most of the United States. Lake Michigan gives players the feel of the old days of Ireland and Scotland where golf was invented. In 2010, the Strait course was ranked number 3 and the Irish course was ranked number 27 by Golfweek as the Best Resort Courses in the United States.
