Review of White Castle Sweet Potato Fries: A Seasonal Fast Food Treat

Candice W.
White Castle has recently begun offering again its White Castle Sweet Potato Fries. This is a seasonal treat for the fast food restaurant. Here is a review of the White Castle Sweet potato fries and what I think about them.

I've had sweet potato French fries before, a version were the fries are really thin, crispy and wispy. White Castle's version of the sweet potato fries are just a little thinner than the cut of their regular French fries and without the crinkle effect. The sweet potato fries have a orange, brown hue as expected for sweet potato fries.

I was given a regular sized order of the White Castle sweet potato fries as a midnight snack. I wasn't expecting the fries so I wasn't particularly in the mood to try them. Of course, I like to try new things so I tried a few right away. I was pleased at the taste of the sweet potato fries although I don't eat other sweet potato items.

The White Castle sweet potato fries are a pretty tasty treat even for those that aren't fans of traditional sweet potato dishes. When I first tasted the white castle sweet potato fries, I detected a hint of sweetness. I didn't want the fries to be too sweet and they weren't.

If you're big on sweetness with your sweet potato fries, White Castle also includes cinnamon sauce you can dip the sweet potato fries into for added flavor. The cinnamon sauce is the highlight for many people that order the sweet potato fries.

I caution you to eat White Castle sweet potato fries in moderation. There are 450 calories in a regular sized sweet potato fries. If you eat a sack of White Castle sweet potato fries, you'll have a whopping 898 calories. There are 27 grams of fat in a regular order of White Castle sweet potato fries and 57 grams of fat in the sack sized order.

Overall I would say the White Castle's sweet potato fries are a delicious snack to go along with the White Castle slider burgers and cheeseburgers.

The only downside is the high calorie and fat grams count because the White Castle sweet potato fries have 450 calories and 27 grams of fat. It is easy for one person to eat a regular size order of these so keep this in mind. It's best to eat healthy foods throughout the day if you settle into eating an order sweet potato fries.
