12 Year Old Boy Gives His Review of This Gift

12 year old boy: "It's Fun" and "There's lots of games on there". "I give this Wii game 8 stars out of 10."

I sat down to watch a 12 year old boy play this game. He had received it for Christmas yesterday and it was still rather new to him. He has played four other Wii games, but is a veteran PS2 and PSP player. This game cost $39.99 online. If you like lots of games (over 25) involving skill and chance, and are looking for a more reasonable Wii game that is very playable as well as rated "E" for Everyone, this is a good choice.

LIKES

You can play either by yourself for prizes and tickets or you can play the multiplayer mode to compete against each other.

Easy to navigate to the different areas of the carnival as there are large street signs pointing the way to different areas of the Wii game Carnival, such as "Lucky Pass", "Claw Alley", and more.

Favorite game is "Nerves-O-Steel" where you have to thread a metal ring through a wire to the other side. If you touch the ring to the wire, you will get a shock. The remote did not vibrate upon receiving a shock however. He successfully completed it three times and won a "large prize", in this case, a Rooster!

Next favorite game is "Bowler Coaster" where you spin a bowling ball and try to get it to land just right on the track. If you spin too fast, the ball goes too far beyond the green "win" zone and if you don't spin it enough, the ball doesn't make it over the first hill.

There is an opportunity to unlock what the 12 year old called "Super Games". He says that if you win a "Jumbo Prize", which so far he has not done, you get to click on a question mark and perhaps unlock a Super Game. This is untested and pure conjecture on his part. But just that goal will keep him playing this game.

DISLIKES
One game was "hard". It is called "Test Your Strength". I noticed he was breathless after playing that one, and his elbow gave an audible crack, while he was whirling around the remote. I tried to smother a giggle. As he played the second round, he found a different way to "shake up" the hammer that was a little easier for him.

This Wii Game actually froze during an attempt to play "Spilled Milk". He tried various things to unfreeze it, but ended up having to unplug the Wii to reset it. He explained that the owner's manual says that interference (from cell phones he said), caused it to freeze.

SUMMARY

Global Star has done a great job with this Wii game and it passed the test of a picky 12 year old player. It has gotten a lot of use and will get a lot more!
