Review of Wing Hub in Bethesda, Maryland
How Are the Chicken Wings at Wing Hub in the Washington D.C. Metro Area?
Bethesda, MD 20814
United States of America
The best thing about Wing Hub is that their chicken wings are huge. This is opposed to other places where the work and mess of eating is hardly worth the reward with tiny, insubstantial wings.
They feature over a dozen different sauces, which are segmented out by their spiciness from Regular, to Plus, to Super and finally Ultra. After trying several of their spicy offerings, ranging from the Super Blazing BBQ to the Plus Cajun and Plus Racing BBQ, I was not overly impressed with how spicy they were. They tasted great, and I enjoyed them, but I'm a man who likes it hot and the wings seemed not as spicy as promised.
These experiences emboldened me to order their off the menu, by request only, Kiss of the Devil chicken wings. This would (shockingly) turn out to be a mistake. After taking one bite I didn't notice much in the way of immediate spiciness. No, this was a deep setting attack on my entire body, and it took time to set in. I managed to struggle through three or four wings, ending up in a full body sweat with eyes tearing and my lips a deep, dark shade of red. Well played Wing Hub, well played. Needles to say, I will now stick to their on the menu offerings from here on out.
The menu also includes a variety of other offerings. There are chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, fries, burgers and even salads, which I can only assume are on the menu to appease the unhappy girlfriends of rampant chicken wing addicts. Happily, that's not something I have to worry about, as I'm in relationship which features a strong shared love of chicken wings.
There is plenty of room to sit down and eat in the restaurant, and they do serve beer. They also have a good amount of widescreen televisions, permanently fixed on whatever sports happen to be on at the moment. From time to time they also host events and feature live music.
If you live near Bethesda or head out there from somewhere else in the Washington D.C. metro area and you love chicken wings, you should definitely check out Wing Hub... you won't be disappointed.
