Out of the Box
The X Rocker Gaming Chair comes fully assembled in the box in its "fold-and-stow" position. Other than connecting the audio cables, the chair is ready for use within seconds.
X Rocker Gaming Chair Seat
The seat features a lightweight wooden frame covered in a black fabric. The shape of the chair forms easily to the users body. The curved design makes it easy to lean back quite far without tipping backward. The cloth covering is soft and comfortable, but is not spill-proof. While you can clean the seat with a damp cloth, the chair can be easily soiled by food or beverages. My son loves to sit in the chair and watch Finding Nemo, but imagine orange Cheetos fingerprints on black cloth; not a pretty picture.
Overall, I found the X Rocker to be very comfortable. After a couple months, I did notice that the padding in the seat began to lose its cushiness, and it was easier to feel the frame. However, the seat is still quite comfortable.
X Rocker Surround Sound
The main feature of the X Rocker Gaming Chair is the surround sound that is delivered by two speakers on either side of the headrest. The chair has a sound control panel on the right-hand side of the seat the features an on/off switch, volume control, AC power jack, and input/output jacks. The sound quality of the X Rocker Gaming Chair is pretty good. I mean, its no Bose surround sound, but if you are looking for something simple - this will suffice. My only problem with the sound feature is the cords. First, you must have two cords - AC power and input/output - connected in order for it to work. Second, the cords are fairly short - only about 7 feet. So, if you are like me and prefer to not ruin your eyes by sitting 2 feet from the TV, the sound feature may be pretty useless. It is also a pain in the butt to plug in and unhook the cords every time I move the chair from where I keep it when it is not being used.
Like most gamers, I care more about the quality of the graphics and game interface than having a cool surround sound feature when gaming. For this reason, I rarely utilize the X Rocker's speakers. However, the chair is extremely comfortable to sit in, and even without the sound is worth every penny.

I think we have this at my job. Is this that chair with no legs? I tried sitting on one of those and broke my ass.
