I like to keep the scents that smell like food in the kitchen. I have this pet peeve where bedrooms or living areas shouldn't smell like food, that's weird, I think! So, this summer why not try Yankee's Fresh Cut Herbs candles, which smells so wonderful, like fresh basil, mint, apple and the old hippie standby: patchouli. It's fresh and inviting and not at all sweet so if you dislike sweet smelling food scented candles, Fresh Cut Herbs is perfect for you. For those who do enjoy a sweet scent, Starfruit and Orange would be best for you. This candle smells of sweet citrus as well as with a splash of floral aroma, which comes from hibiscus. Also, the new Yankee Root Beer Float candle is a fun kitchen pick; it's a comforting scent blend of sweet and spicy root beer and creamy vanilla ice cream, the scent is light and so delicious... it'll take you back to the Fair for sure! Lastly, the Fudge Ripple candle smells so much like vanilla ice cream drizzled with fudge that you might just want to eat it! It's a great candle for summer birthday parties!
In the bathroom, try clean or water-like scents. Yankee's Beach Walk is a beach-y breeze in a jar! This sea air scented candle is relaxing and fresh with undertones of citrus for a clean aroma. Yankee's Ocean Water candle is equally as refreshing with its clean and crisp scent. Either one is sure to make your bathroom smell clean and fresh!
The rest of the house is where you can add scents you enjoy and love. Yankee's Amber Glow is so lovely; it's warm and sweet, smelling of cedar with soft, slight vanilla traces. Coconut Palms is another great scent for summer. While coconut is a food scent, it's okay to put in other rooms because when it's mixed with tropical aromas it just smells like heaven! Dune Grass is my favorite scent; it's complex with a blend of bamboo and bergamot along with subtle hints of orchid and lemon. Lovely! Inviting! Wonderful!
All of these scents are part of Yankee's newest collection of candles. All of the scents are perfect for summer and there's one (or more) suited for each room of the house.
