Review of the Yard House in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

The Yard House is an innovative restaurant located in the brand new Downtown at the Gardens complex adjacent to the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The restaurant originated in California in 1996 and the diverse and original menu reflects the California style cuisine of its beginnings. The menu features scrumptious salads, delicious sandwiches, and an assortment of pizzas, seafood, and meat dishes. All are prepared with the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection. In addition, the Yard House offers diners a restaurant with great ambience. There are countless TV's where you can watch your favorite sports and a constant stream of classic rock music plays on the restaurant's sound system.

Whenever I go to the Yard House, I have two favorite items that I order. The Lettuce Wraps and the Chopped Salad, and both dishes are phenomenal! The Lettuce Wraps can be ordered with Chicken, Shrimp, or Shitake and Portabella Mushrooms. I always choose the mushrooms and ask that they be cooked in soy sauce instead of the usual oyster sauce. The dish comes with several huge leaves of Romaine lettuce and is accompanied by smoked tofu, pine nuts, onions, and three of the most delicious dipping sauces that you will ever taste. The Chopped Salad is great too, but it is not your typical salad--instead of lettuce and tomatoes, the Chopped Salad consists of cilantro, corn, avocado, onions, cucumbers, and celery. Although it comes with bacon and gazpacho dressing, I leave the bacon off and opt for ranch dressing on the side. The Chopped Salad is so light and fresh, it's truly a pleasure to eat it.

The Yard House is famous for having the world's largest selection of draft beers and they do not disappoint. The draft beer list is endless and some of the choices are pretty interesting. My favorite is the Abita Purple Haze, but there are countless others that can be served in a pint, goblet, or half yard. The Yard House also has a nice selection of wine and martinis. Be sure to stop by the Yard House for Happy Hour, Monday through Friday from 3-6. They offer half price appetizers and 2 for 1 drinks.

Overall, the Yard House is an excellent place to enjoy a nice dinner with unique food, pleasant ambience, and great service. The Yard House is open for dining Sunday through Thursday 11:30 AM-11:00PM and Friday and Saturday 11:30AM-1:00AM. The bar is open until 12:30 AM Sunday through Thursday and until 1:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
