Review: Yes to Carrots C Today or C You in the Morning Moisturizing Day Cream

I have normal skin, so I usually use a light facial moisturizer. But during the winter it usually becomes very dry. In the past I've been lazy about finding a decent moisturizer but this winter my skin just wasn't having it.

Once the weather became cold, my face felt so dry and it started to look dull and flaky. To make matters worse I noticed that I was getting fine lines underneath my eyes, and at that point I decided to invest in a decent creamy moisturizer.

I didn't want to pay a lot so I went to Walgreen's and browsed their selection. A lot of the creams were either for night, or anti-aging, or were just too complicated.

I just wanted something that would be hydrating, so when I spotted Yes to Carrots C Today or C You in the Morning I decided to buy it because the description was pretty straightforward (even though it's name wasn't). The label said that it was a moisturizing day cream for dry to sensitive skin which was exactly what I was looking for.

They claim that the C Today or C You in the Morning Moisturizer "is a great water based moisturizing day cream" that "softens, smoothes, and firms your skin, leaving you with a radiant glow."

I've been using the C Today or C You in the Morning Moisturizer for the past week now and overall I like it, even though it really smells like carrot juice.

It is water based so it feels light and it absorbs into the skin really easily. But I think the glycerin in this causes C Today or C You in the Morning to set fast. It seals the skin, so I've found that it doesn't spread out as much as other moisturizers that I've used before. It also doesn't allow the moisturizing ingredients to really sink into my skin as much as I'd like it to.

The bottom line is that if my skin is feeling really dry I usually have to use a few dabs of Yes to Carrots to really quench it.

This is pretty much my only complaint about this cream, because once I apply enough, my face stays moisturized throughout the entire day. It also has a dewy look to it, and it never looks or feels oily by the end of the night. My face also doesn't look flaky or crepey anymore.

In the End...

I don't know if the improvement in my skin's radiance and smoothness is because of some magical ingredient in this cream or if it's just because my skin isn't dry anymore - because I haven't seen a difference in my skin's firmness yet.

But overall I think that C Today or C You in the Morning Moisturizer is a good product. I would recommend it for someone with normal, dry, or sensitive skin. It's light enough to use during the summer, and moisturizing enough for the winter. But if your skin is severely dry I'd skip it and find a heavier cream. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
