Review of Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort in Utah

Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort was my choice when I visited Zion National Park at Utah during last Thanksgiving. I took a vacation home and stayed for four nights. It was a very nice ranch house that was well maintained and apt for a superb vacation. It was a two storeyed timber house.

This resort is located in hectares and was at fifteen minutes from the east (top) entrance of Zion National Park. Even though we arrived very late night, late check in was very easy. The cost of the house was around $395 per night. There were less expensive cabins and camping sites, but I opted for this house. I didn't get disappointed at all. I found my spending worthy.

The staff was very friendly. Services were very quick. We requested for a barbeque and got very swiftly. My friends and I enjoyed the stay here. The amenities included Foosball too. It was unlimited fun. There was enough space for our group of ten people. Also the utensils and furnishings were top class. We could even set up a bar there with all classic chairs and tables.

Since it is located at top of the park, the resort is very secluded and quiet. Even though there were many hotels at Springdale which is a town near downside entrance of the Zion National Park, I didn't repent staying here. I strongly feel that I was able to enjoy the Zion National Park only because I stayed here. The ambience is so beautiful that my mind became very aesthetic during the stay. Snow was falling lightly in the morning and was a delight to watch.

This resort is perfect for large groups. There were multiple ways of entertainment like ATV ride, horse ride, camping and hiking. One drawback is the location. We cannot get groceries or drinks here. So we needed to get all the things from Springdale during our outing. Once our beer and wine got finished, we had to drive down the Park again to get them again. There was buffet at the resort and it was pretty good. Especially the Thanksgiving feast was sumptuous. In addition to this we had nice cooking inside the vacation house.

This resort is en route to Bryce Canyon. So when we stayed there we could easily club Zion and Bryce in our trip. The stay here still remains close to my heart even after months. I have made my mind to go there and stay at the same house along with my spouse.
