Reviewing Chadwick's Stretch Shirt

C. Phillips
Chadwick's is an online women's clothing store that offers a great range of sizes on summer clothing. Their 3/4 sleeve stretch shirt, usually on sale during this season, is the perfect addition to any woman's wardrobe. And with the large array of spring and summer colors, you are sure to find the hue that right for you.

Why it's superior

The construction and design of these stretch shirts is impeccably flattering for all body types. Many similar button down shirts lack a closure at the top; they are designed to have an open V-neck that can be plunging. I prefer not to have such a lack of wearable options. But the fact remains that whether you like that style or not, the design of those shirts just doesn't allow for versatility like Chadwick's stretch shirt does. There are evenly spaced buttons all the way to the neck, which gives you the ability to button as many or as few as you'd like. These stretch shirts are great for layering tank tops or camisoles underneath and give you a sleek look without the oddity of the V-neck button shirts.

The material is cotton with just a hint of spandex. This gives it some stretch as the name implies, but doesn't have a body-hugging design that looks unflattering on women that are more rounded in shape. I also love that they choose a flattering seam line for bust darts. Whether you have a chest to speak of or not you will find that full seam line great at adding dimension to your figure. I was also looking for a shirt that would be long enough on my torso, and you will find that the length is great for women that are taller as well as those that are average. Because I don't like to tuck in my shirts, the rounded hemline is great for leaving untucked; but even if you prefer to tuck it in, it will gracefully do so without easily coming undone.

One of the greatest features I look for in a shirt is whether it is machine washable. And true to that search, I've found a shirt with low maintenance. Chadwick's stretch shirt also comes in average, petite, and women's sizes to cover a large range of body types. The price range per shirt is $19.00, but is frequently on sale if you purchase more than one. Whether you wear them to work, to the store, or just around the house, they are the perfect, easy wear stretch shirt that offers style and comfort in one. And because they are ¾ sleeves, you can wear them year round.

Cons

As with everything, it does have a few cons. Because it is made of cotton it tends to wrinkle easily. You have to take it out of the drier immediately and hang it up or else you will have to iron it before you wear it. If you are the type that abhors any wrinkles in your clothing, than this might not be a low maintenance shirt for you. The only other con that I've observed with extended use of this shirt, is that the bright colors fade when you live in a place with a lot of sun. I spent a lot of time outdoors in Vegas and found that within a summer the bright colors were muted. This does not occur if you use the shirts less frequently and spend most of your day shaded from sun, however. I don't consider this much of a con considering the low price of the shirts, they can be updated every year with new colors without a problem.

The style of these shirts is classic and won't go out of fashion. Why not invest in something that will be a wardrobe staple, instead of on next year's "fashion don'ts" list? You've got nothing to lose with these stretch shirts, so check them out on Chadwicks.com and find out what a value they are for yourself.
