The iPhone has a sleek profile, vibrant color display, a touch screen that enables a no-keypad body, and smooth body (the body doesn't have extending antennas or anything related.) The phone is measured at 4.5 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide by 0.46 inch deep, and it weighs 4.3 ounces. Despite its size, the iPhone does feel rather small when you're holding it, but it does feel rather weighty; I found this to be good because it gives it a non-cheap sturdy feel. It's a comfortable hold as well. iPhones' display is a great 3.5 inches glass, NOT plastic, screen. It's 480x320 pixel resolution allows sharp graphics, easy on-screen movements, and excellent color.
The main menu is laid out in standard Apple format, and very easy to use. All the essential features are located on the main menu rather than under other random menus. Colorful icons are used to display features, such as: Call, Web browser, and so on.
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi:
iPhone has many wireless functions supported by Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. I found Bluetooth to be a really nice feature on this phone, and I really like it when I go to browse the web and the phone automatically searches for the nearest Internet connection. And Bluetooth can be used for voice calls as well. I love the fact that iPhone has Wi-Fi, but AT&T's network (EDGE) is very slow and makes web surfing a burned out joy.
E-mailing and Messaging:
Yes, of course, the iPhone gives you the ability to message and e-mail, but Apple didn't include multimedia messaging to this phone. E-mail can be used to send photos, but when you don't have the ability to multimedia message you can't send photos to other cell phones (there's really no point in having camera phone when you can't send your photos to other people.)
Text messages are viewed in threads. This feature allows you to view your messages in a long conversation and is very handy. With this feature you are able to pick which messages you'd like to answer, you can leave the conversation, and than you can pick back up on the conversation where you left off when you return
Features:
Phone book - Each contact (8 phone numbers; street address; e-mail; web site; job title and dep.; birthday; nickname; and notes. Callers can't be saved in groups; they have to be stored in the preferred friends area.
Photo caller idea - Take a picture of your buddy, assign their phone number to their picture, and than watch for their face to appear on your screen when they call.
25 polyphonic - You can assign any of these 25 ring tones to your friends and family's numbers, so they have their own personal ring tone when they call you. MP3 files can NOT be used as ring tones. You can place your iPhone on vibrate, which means your phone will vibrate when you receive a call, but the vibration is very light.
