Many other artists are showcased on this tape. With features from Verb Spielberg, The fly Boyz, Klepto, Fatz, Dreek, Spoon, and many others. Although there are many guest appearances, Erv's powerful voice still owns this album. The Tucson Rap scene will suffer if this album isn't a guide to making it. So many collaborations create an AZ unity like no other.
The overall vibe creates club bangers, thug anthems, pusher scenes, and lyrical tracks that rekindle the idea of true MC's. Track 8 features freestyles that uncover talent off the pen and pad. Track 4 titled "Bitches Ain't Shit" borrows an old school Chronic Album beat. This track allows the listeners to feel as if they are apart of the storyline drawn out in the lyrics. The mixtape continues to sample hot instrumentals from artists over the years. Pulling older instrumentals differentiates the album from so many mixtapes hitting the scene nowadays.
Overall the Mixtape is a must listen for all hip hop fans regardless of what coast. With tracks for the club, car, and hip hop fiends; Erv's Money Report Vol. 1 is a solid entry in the mixtape game. Be sure to check out Erv's Myspace page at www.myspace.com/ervjr and cop this album.
