The texture of this body butter is different than your standard butters. It isn' a greasy mess for one thing. It has a solid consistency and goes on smooth. There will not be a greasy residue afterwards, which is a definitely plus. It is thick enough to moisturize and thin enough when spread that it won' clog your pores.
There are a number of different types of this body butter, all promoting some other benefit. The Brazil Nut one offers pure conditioning, the Currant one is for skin consistency, and the Cocoa one (the one I bought) is for stretch marks. It doesn' say anywhere on the product that it will eliminate stretch marks, but it is meant to condition them so they aren' dry or icy. It does a good job in moisturizing limbs as well.
It is a bit pricey, as most body butters are, but the $12.00 for 5 ounces is well-spend on these products. You won' need very much for each usage and it lasts a long time. But one of the greatest features about these products is the scent. The smells are all natural. When it says it is "Cocoa" it isn' just some fake chocolate scent. The smell is fresh and pure, with a hint of organic chocolate flavor. You obviously shouldn' eat it, but it smells that good! The Brazil Nut one is likewise as nice a fragrance. The aromas linger lightly and fade within a few hours. It is great for use on sensitive, but very dry skin.
Compared to other body butters, such as The Body Shops classic line, it performs just as well or better. While the other body butters have natural oils in them, they are not naturally scented or comprised of mostly natural ingredients. A quick glance at the ingredients contained in Pure Simplicity reveals a vast number of natural oils and pure components. They are obviously an environmentally conscious company as they indicate to please recycle on the bottom of their containers.
So for those that have a hard time with dry skin, Pure Simplicity seems to have the natural solution. But there are other products that will perform just as well for a lesser price.
