Reviewing the Vtech 3 Handset Cordless Phone with Digital Answering Machine

Versatile and Expandable

When I decided to get myself a new cordless phone, I checked into the Vtech phones, as I have been using them for quite a few years. I found what I wanted at Office Depot for $59.99. The Vtech 3 Handset Cordless Phone system. It has the base unit, which includes a digital answering machine, and two extra handsets.

Having the extra handsets is really great. I can have the base of the Vtech 3 Handset Cordless Phone on my desk, (which is right off the living room ) put one of the handsets in my wife's office, and the other in our bedroom. The real beauty of the handsets is that we no longer have to shout from room to room to let one of us know that there is a call. The handsets have a buzz feature, and act as an intercom.

Another nice thing about the extra handsets is that you don't need to have a phone line to use it. Once you plug in the base, all you have to do is plug in the charger to the extra handsets, and voila! Which is really great as my wife's office doesn't have a phone line.

The digital answering machine function of the Vtech 3 Handset Cordless Phone is really useful to us in our home business. If we are not home, I don't have to worry about there being enough time left on a tape.

The Vtech 3 Handset Cordless Phone answering machine can store up to 99 messages (of approximately four minutes each) This actually adds up to fourteen minutes. Most of the messages I get are a bit longer. However as long as I keep them cleared it's no problem.

The clarity on the Vtech 3 Handset Cordless Phone is excellent. The DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Communications Technology) gives you the absolute best call quality you can get with a cordless phone. I have noticed since we got these phones, that I don't hear an crackles or hiss, or any annoying buzzing when I move around when I am on the phone. I tend to walk around the house while I talk on the phone, and I used to notice weird noises whenever I passed under a doorway. I guess the metal in the doorway interfered with the phone signal. With the Vtech 3 Handset Cordless Phone and its DECT 6.0 you don't hear any weird noises.

Overall we are pleased with the Vtech 3 Handset Cordless Phone and give it two thumbs up!
