National Geographic - Animal Holiday
This holiday DVD is not only a change of pace from the usual Christmas DVD's but very informative too. Your child will be enchanted by Santa's description of arctic animals like narwhals, polar bears, sea otters and Santa's reindeer playing in their natural habitat. The entire DVD also has a happy, cheerful soundtrack that is perfect for kids of all ages who like to dance in beat to the music.
Included in the DVD are bonus educational learning games and animal sounds games. This animal holiday DVD is a wonderful choice for holiday entertainment for kids.
Disney's Very Merry Christmas Sing along Songs:
This DVD has traditional Christmas songs with the words displayed at the bottom of the screen for sing alongs. It is a fun Christmas DVD and kids love to join in the fun, singing and learning all the standard Christmas tunes. It is heartwarming to hear the children singing all the traditional songs that I grew up with like: White Christmas, Jingle Bells, Parade of the Wooden Soldiers, Deck the Halls, Here Comes Santa Claus, and many more. It is a welcome change from many of the modern, tacky songs many kid's shows have today.
The Twelve Dogs of Christmas
This is a heartwarming story that children of all ages will love. Even adults enjoy the sweet and touching story of a 12 year old girl who organizes a Christmas pageant using dogs as the stars of the show. Dog lovers will love this story.
Red Boots for Christmas
This Christmas DVD teaches the true meaning of Christmas without all the tinsel, shopping, and expensive presents. This is a wholesome family Christmas story with traditional values that actually enforce the Christmas spirit of love, Jesus, and the fact that there is more to Christmas than getting presents.
The story involves a cranky shoemaker who lives in Germany. He ridicules his neighbors who are preparing for Christmas, locking himself in his cottage. The Shoemaker is visited by an angel who tells him that God is sending him a special visitor and gift. The shoemaker begins to make red shoes as a gift for the visitor and the story goes on from there. I don't want to ruin it for you.
In any case, this is a great family film that might just end up a tradition in your family. All of these Christmas DVD's can be found at Amazon, Best Buy, and department stores,or rent them at your favorite video store and Netflix. Happy holidays!
