Reviews of Maybelline Superstay Lipcolor and Cover Girl Incredifull Lipcolor

Maybelline Superstay Lipcolor is a product that claims to stay on while eating, drinking and kissing. I am excited to say that it does live up to its claim. You first apply the color with a lip gloss-like applicator swab. Then you let it dry for 2 minutes. This is definitely the most important part of the application. One time I was in a hurry to go out for the evening, and I only let the color dry for about 30 seconds. By the time I arrived at my destination and went to the bathroom the first time, the color was completely gone.

The next step is to apply a layer of nice moisturizer over the top of the color.

As an overall product, this lipstick is awesome; hands down. If you put it on properly before going out in the evening and don't shower until the next day sometime, you will wake up with full lipstick. It will not come off until you take a shower and scrub it off.

The only downfall of this lipstick is that the color part is a little drying, and the moisturizer part wipes off with every kiss, bite of food, and drink from a glass just like regular lipstick and gloss. So, the actual lipstick color is almost like a dry stain.

But, to be honest, I can live with that. If it keeps me in lipstick on when I want to have it on, then I'm fine with it. And whenever it starts to feel dry, I just smooth on more of the nice moisturizer.

The other product I wanted to try was the Cover Girl Incredifull Lipcolor. I've never really been bent out of shape about having plumper lips, but I did sort of wonder if a product that claimed to plump your lips would really work. I figured if I liked the look then hey cool, something for every now and then. If not, no love lost. I just wanted to see if this was just a gimmick or not.

Surprisingly enough, to be honest with you; I don't think it's a gimmick. I tell you this stuff make me look so weird. So I think it must've changed the dimensions of my lips just slightly. I purchased it in a purple red type color so the look it gave me was like a red platypus sort of thing. My lips weren't super big and pouty or anything; but they were just a little more full--enough to make a difference.

I haven't used the product to go out. I just seem to look a little not like myself. I may try the product in a pink. I think I just purchased it in the purplish red because I honestly didn't think that it would work. So, I wanted to make sure that I got a color that I would like to use later. Well, I think it does work and now I don't know if I'll ever use it again because the color I got is a very dramatic color to be enlarging my particular lips with.

Sort of like putting acetone and enamel paint on your mouth...

I just got this with a coupon for a free one. I got Plush Blush 912 and I like the color and yes, it's creamy going on, but I can tell it won't last long and...no tingling...no plumping...no nothing except for the nice color and being creamy. I saw all the reviews at different sites and they were mixed. I'm glad I got it FREE because I would have taken it back if I'd have paid for it. It's just an 'okay' lipstick....I'm not impressed at all with this one.
