Revival Service

Shirley A Mandel
The Spirit speaks in an unknown tongue.
With hands lifted, deep rain is sung.

Music falls down a star on the church.
A derelict comes to the end of his search.

Prayer evaporates the rivers of tears.
A mad man finds the end of this fears.

The Word goes out like a wave of light.
A single woman seizes the end of the night.
The seed of truth bares root in a boy.
Jump for joy. Jump for joy.

I like the first line. We don't always "hear" the Spirit, but we can feel it moving.
