Revlon Fabulash Mascara Vs Maybelline XXL Volume + Length Mascara

If I was ever stranded on a desert island the one cosmetic that I would take with me would be mascara. I love it and throughout the years I have tried many brands. Today I am going to compare the properties of Revlon fabulash mascara against Maybelline XXL mascara.

The Revlon mascara container is black with a gold ring that says Revlon, and light blue writing on the side. The tip twists off and the wand comes out. The bristles on the wand are a little nubby, and no clumps are attached to the bristles. The color of the mascara is black.

The Maybelline XXL mascara has two wands, and is the first container I have ever seen like this. The tip of the wand is labeled wand #1 and the second wand is labeled wand #2. When twisting off the cap for want #1 the bristles are coarse and medium length, and the color is a glittery white and looks a little clumpy. I then twisted off the lid to wand #2 the bristles are spaced apart nicely and there are no clumps on the brush. This mascara is black.

I started with bare lashes and decided to put them to the test.
The Revlon mascara when applied goes on pretty even. It makes my lashes look thicker, but not necessarily longer. There is no clumping, and after about two hours it seems to want to wear down a bit. Reapplying works pretty well. You might get a small amount of clumping while applying it again but not anything annoying. It still looks great after reapplying too.

Maybelline XXL Volume + Length with this mascara I started with the wand labeled #1 which has the white mascara. I can tell you this it brought out lashes I did not know I had. I was starting to really like this mascara. Then I opened the wand labeled #2 Now when using this the trick is to completely cover the white mascara on your eyes with the black. This does take a few coats and can clump if you are not careful. The overall effect is outstanding and I really loved the results. The downside with the Maybelline XXL mascara is when you have to reapply which is not for about 5 hours before it starts to fade, it starts to clump when you are reapplying. So I just take it off and start all over again.

Bottom line Revlon Fabulash mascara is great no clumps, looks great, you can reapply pretty often with good results. This offers more volume than length, and only lasts about 2 hours before you have to reapply.

Maybelline XXL Volume + Length mascara really makes your eyes " pop " and it gives a really neat effect, but if you are in for a long day and do not carry disposable mascara remover do not plan on reapplying because you will clump.
