Revlon Lash Fantasy and Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara Review - Which is Best?
Both Mascaras Promise to Make Your Lashes Longer, But Only One Delivers
First, I bought the Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara. It was on sale and had a cool-looking silver tube. The silver was plastic, but whatever. It still looked cool.
After I got home, I opened up my Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara and noticed that the applicator was coated with a blob of mascara. I tried to brush some of it off on the mouth of the tube, but I couldn't. I think the bristles on the short applicator brush were just too short and weak. I tried to put some of the Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara on my lashes, but ended up with a clumpy mess. Not impressive.
Even if the Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara formula lived up to its promise of thicker lashes, since I couldn't apply it easily, I was done. I went back to the store and returned it.
Next, I tried Revlon Lash Fantasy.
This mascara actually comes in two parts and has a double applicator. The white part is a primer, you put it on your lashes first. Then, the black side is the mascara. You apply it second. As soon as you do, you'll be able to see a difference in your lashes. I certainly did. After applying both coats of the Revlon Lash Fantasy, my lashes looked much longer than they did before.
I must admit, the Revlon Lash Fantasy applicator brushes also aren't as sturdy as I like them to be and they don't separate the lashes enough for my taste. But they seemed better than the ones in the 3D Extreme Mascara. Or, perhaps the formula isn't as sticky. Whatever the reason, I was able to apply it. So that was a definite improvement.
Plus, my lashes looked a lot longer with the Revlon Lash Fantasy. They reminded me of the fake lashes I had once, when I got my makeup done for a wedding. By the way, I tried it without applying the primer, but that did not work as well. My lashes didn't seem to get longer and the black mascara flaked onto my cheeks.
Overall, if you follow the instructions your lashes should look a lot longer with the Revlon Lash Fantasy. As far as I'm concerned, it's a much better product than Revlon's 3D Extreme Mascara.
