Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in "Copperglow Berry" Review

The Pen
I was in the mood to try a new shade of lipstick so I went to CVS to look for one. I don't buy Revlon that often so I decided to try one of their lipsticks. I spotted one of their Super Lustrous Lipsticks in a shade called Copperglow Berry that looked pretty. I'd never tried a color like it before, and I thought it would change up my look so I decided to buy it for $7.99.

Copperglow Berry comes in a small black tube with a c-thru lid so I didn't really get to see the exact shade of the color until I got home. When I first opened it at home I thought the color was really rich and chic looking. It looks dark copper like an old penny and it has berry undertones.

When I tried on the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick I liked the way it felt. It has a creamy texture and feels moisturizing like a lip balm. The Copperglow Berry shade did flatter my brown skin. And the color made my lips glisten slightly because there's some shimmer in this. I also noticed that it made my teeth look really white because the berry part of this lipstick has some cool tones.

Even though the Revlon Copperglow Berry didn't look bad on me, I was kind of disappointed with the color. It looks more like a warm berry shade on rather than copper so it's a lot darker and has more pink tones than what I normally wear.

It's just not me and I think I'd only feel better wearing this Super Lustrous lipstick when I have on a full face of makeup, not just by itself. Copperglow is a shade that would only look good during the fall or winter and I just think it's too conservative and serious for me. To be honest it just kind of bored me.

In the End...

I would recommend the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in general because it is an affordable lipstick and the creamy texture feels good. I also liked that the shimmer in it did make my lips glisten but it still looked subtle.

The Copperglow Berry shade isn't something that I would wear often, because it's such a deep color but I might like it eventually if I use it with the right eye shadow and blush.

But even though it's not my favorite shade of lipstick personally, I would recommend Revlon Super Lustrous to other women who are looking for a sophisticated warm berry toned lipstick. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

I purchased Copperglow Berry the other day when I was looking for a new shade. I found that this lipstick feels moisturizing and lightweight. I have very dark hair and light/ivory skin. I can look washed out very easily or my lips can look like they glow. I find this color to be a perfect cool pink color that won't glow after a few hours. I highly recommend this color for those that are looking for a berry color.
