Warrior poets? That gives me an idea.
There was a time, when I was young and idealistic, that the sentiments you're expressing here would have shocked me. I'm much older now and I've seen the ways of the world and I don't like what I see and I now feel this way too. Where are the causes worth fighting for? I happen to think that our kids and grandkids fill that role and it appalls me that we're ruining their planet. As we say in England, nice one, Shanelle!
