The positive spin we have on the subject is that if the unfortunate ever happens and we split, there will be no court battles, costly attorney, and divorce proceedings. We are in this together whether I take his last name or not. I have been able to make a life for myself knowing full well that if anything ever happens I can handle it and that we will still be a team when it comes to raising our children.
