Rhianna and Matt Kemp: Confirmed Couple

Although Matt Kemp and Rhianna have been a suspected couple since they vacationed together in January in Cabo, neither of them had been willing to confirm the partnership. The photos of them on the vacation included lots of close moments, but Rihanna and Matt weren't publicly affectionate. Rumors flew, but without further romantic escapades, no one could be sure they were together.

Last week, however, Rihanna broke the silence and admitted they're an item on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

Rhianna has a lot going for her right now. A new boyfriend, she's topping the charts with her new hit "Rude Boy" and PopSugar reports that she's going on tour with Ke$ha and performing at Lilith Fair .

According to WhosDatedWho, Rihanna has dated stars Shia LaBoeuf, Omarion Grandberry and Josh Hartnett. Her longest relationship was in 2008 to singer Chris Brown. Rihanna was linked for a short time to Aubrey Graham before settling down with Kemp.

Rihanna's relationship with Brown was a tumultuous one, with plenty of drama and breakups with reconciliations. However, the ending was more dramatic than anyone could have guessed, with Brown attacking Rihanna so brutally that she required hospitalization for her injuries and Brown ended up being charged and convicted of assaulting Rihanna, and was ordered to serve 5 years probation.

Rhianna is Kemp's first publicized romance according to WhosDatedWho.

While Kemp may be new to the celebrity dating scene, he's certainly not new to being in the public eye. He is the first Dodger to hit home runs in the first four games of the season at their stadium; the last one led the team to a win. Nicknamed "The Bison" for his large stature combined with his amazing speed, he's a hero to Dodgers fans. 2009 was his first year with the team, and his stats speak for themselves: MLB Fanhouse reports that Kemp hit 18 home runs, had 76 RBI's and had a batting average of .290. Those numbers are impressive for a first-year player in the MLB. He's featured in the April 2010 issue of GQ magazine along with Jake Gyllenhall, so his celebrity status is rising.

With baseball season just starting, Rihanna and Mark will have to find time between her appearances and his games to spend some quality time alone. She's already been spotted cheering him on, even giving him a standing ovation after a home run on the Dodgers' opening day game. Maybe Kemp will be able to swing by a performance or two on his off weeks to reciprocate.

One thing is for sure: the two make an incredibly attractive couple.
