The past haunts the present
So it's time to let it go
There has to be some tears shed
So the future will no longer have to know
It might cause anguish to those who want to bury these disappointments inside
But it's best not to concede to the pitfalls of pride
For there is no hiding place for pain when it wants to come outside
It cannot be ignored because true feelings don't subside
The only answer is to face the truth
Life and love constantly deliver lessons in rhythm and blues
So have a little patience while growing in faith when delivered unfortunate news
