My mom used to serve Rice Cereal a lot when I was a child. Today in my home we call this dish Breakfast Rice. Regardless of the name, Rice cereal is a delicious breakfast food. It is creamy and sweet. It is also extremely economical, especially if made with powdered milk. Or, you can substitute the water and dry milk for 1 cup of regular milk.
Rice Cereal
3 cups cooked rice
1 cup water
1/3 cup powdered milk
2 Tbsp butter
1/3 cup sugar, or to taste
Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir occasionally, until heated through.
Spoon into bowls and enjoy.
Rice cereal tastes great served with bananas.
Serves 4.
