Rick Perry, the Man Who Can Do for America

Texas Governor Does the Right Things the Right Way

Lorraine Yapps Cohen
Who is this Rick Perry we're hearing so much about? Currently Texas Governor, he could very well be our next U.S. President. Here's why he would be good for the job.

A prosperous Texas

What Perry has done for Texas is the antithesis of what Obama has done for the U.S. (...make that "done to the U.S." ).

Perry made Texas the model of prosperity for Americans, the kind of America the U.S. used to be: A land of opportunity with a pro-business free-market economy, operating under the Constitution with liberty and freedom for all.

A model for California

The model is so enviable in this day and age of socialized everything that California State Assembly members made a field trip to Texas. In efforts to learn how it's done while stemming the tide of business exodus out of California, the state so in-bed with socialist policy sought a plan by looking to Texas.

It will be interesting to learn what, if anything, the Californians learned.

A way to save America

Rick Perry even wrote a book. Entitled Fed Up! Our Fight to Save America from Washington, the book speaks volumes of frustrations from central government too big for its britches. It ought to be top on the read list of anybody with a beef with Obama. That's 58% of Americans not yet deaf, dumb, and numb from his policies.

A new face in the race

While Perry has not announced for the Republican nomination, many hold hopes that he will. His interest in the race meets with denial, but that's typical behavior for savvy statesmen. Who wants needless defamation while running one's state so successfully?

A get-it-done guy

Most importantly, we should notice why Rick Perry is being noticed. America looks at what Rick Perry is doing--doing for Texas, what he could be doing for America.

Nobody is much looking at what he wears, where he's from, how he speaks, who cuts his hair, the color of his skin, his religion, sex life, marriages, and all that irrelevant stuff people are so taken with. They are looking at what he does.

I'd like to see Rick Perry do for America what he's doing for Texas!

Quite an impressive fellow. I haven't heard his name mentioned for President, though. Maybe I'm not paying enough attention! rcj

I came to know Mr. Perry only recently when he asked for prayer for Texas during the drought. He issued a Proclamation of Prayer and said, "I don't care which god you pray to, pray for us." He is a great candidate - I also hope he throws his hat in the ring! cheers :)

If he throws his hat into the ring for President, all those irrelevant things you mentioned will suddenly become news to somebody! If the Republicans are to have any chance in 2012, they will have to get better candidates than the ones that have announced so far.

    Great, thanks Lorraine!

Perry says what he thinks and means what he says. How can he be president?

Perry is first rate. Texas added 160,000 jobs at the same time that California lost a million. They have a focus on jobs and they mean it. They know that no problems can be addressed by government unless and untill there is prosperity. Obama is out to destroy prosperity.
