Rick Ross Plans to Open Several Wingstop Chicken Restaurants

Rick Ross is taking his business smarts to another level by stepping beyond his Maybach Music Group empire. The Miami rap mogul is forging ahead with plans to open a chain of Wingstop restaurants, with his first debuting in Memphis this fall. The 'God Forgives, I Don't' creator has had his sights set on the chicken joint '" even if it was only as a fan of the restaurant chain's food '" when he included it in the lyrics to his gritty track 'MC Hammer,' off his fourth album, 'Teflon Don.' "After tasting Wingstop's signature lemon pepper'"flavored wings in Miami, I knew this was a franchise I wanted to add to my investments," Rick Ross revealed in a statement. Wingstop, which has over 480 restaurants in the U.S. and Mexico, focuses on cooked-to-order chicken. Ross, who is leading the charge with his arsenal of talented rappers Meek Mill, Wale and Pill, will open his Memphis Wingstop location at 7706 Winchester Road.
