Rick Sanchez "Apologizes" to Jon Stewart

Natasha Puryear
Rick Sanchez, the former CNN agent, has reportedly apologized to Comedy Central's Jon Stewart according to his wife Suzanne's Facebook page.

Sanchez was fired on Saturday from CNN for the comments he made regarding the Jewish population and discrimination. The comments were broadcast on Rete Dominick's radio show on Friday and include references to Stewart being Jewish and that the Jewish population was not discriminated against.

Suzanne's publicly accessible facebook post stated that Sanchez and Stewart "had a good talk" and that Sanchez "feels horrible ." Mrs. Sanchez goes on to blame exhaustion from 14 hour work days over the past two months for Sanchez's comments.

The post also states that Sanchez "deeply apologizes to anyone who was offended by his unintended comments."

Sanchez's facebook profile is only visible to his friends and he has made no statement since the radio show was broadcast.

Stewart has made multiple references to Sanchez's comments and later firing from CNN giving many fans the impression that Sanchez's words did not affect him.

Mrs. Sanchez's facebook profile is otherwise private leading many to believe that the statement released is a public relations clean up.
