Rid Yourself of Yeast Infections - Candida - Naturally

Jamie Brown
Candida Albicans, or yeast, is a naturally occurring substance in your body that is actually helpful to your system, but if there is a disruption with the bacteria in your body it can become problematic. The overgrowth of yeast can result in yeast infections, rashes and irritations, or even oral thrush. This is an inconvenient problem that can be resolved over time using natural solutions.

Yogurt

To fight the overgrowth of yeast in your system you need to consume a substance called Lactobacillus acidophilus. This is a "friendly" bacteria that helps get your digestive tract back to normal right before and during a yeast overgrowth. Yogurt is full of the acidophilus bacteria that people need for a more balanced digestive system. Add yogurt to your daily diet to fight candida. Eat at least one container each morning before you put anything else in your body.

Natural Supplement

If you are not a yogurt buff, consider taking a natural acidophilus supplement instead. These are capsules that are full of Lactobacillus acidophilus bacteria. There are usually a billion or more live organisms (good bacteria) inside of each supplement pill. Take one pill with each meal of the day (at least twice a day). You can find these supplements in your local drug or health store. Acidophilus Pearls is one popular once-a-day supplement that could help to control a yeast problem.

Change Your Diet

The most important step to ridding yourself of candida is to change your diet permanently. Stop eating foods that are high in yeast content, like breads, cakes, and cookies. Vinegar, sauerkraut, mayonnaise, cider and soups also have yeast. Beer and wine are very high in yeast, so reduce or eliminate your intake of these drinks.

You also have to watch out for foods that contain mold, like mushrooms, cheese, and malt foods. Sugars will aggravate and prolong a problem with systemic candida, so reduce or eliminate your intake of white refined sugar, honey, and syrup. Instead, eat more green vegetables, complex carbohydrates like rice and grains, protein (meats), and drink plenty of water to help flush the excess yeast out of your system.
