The Painted Turtle Camp Challenge Ride - Lupus LA

Painted Turtle's first Camp Challenge Ride, a cycling event to promote Lupus LA summer camp partner. Every dollar will help Lupus LA to send children with Lupus to Painted Turtle's camp next summer 2011, for a joyful and fulfilling experience.

This summer on July 17 to July 22^nd 2010, 20 children with lupus between the ages 7 to 16 had the opportunity to participate in an amazing summer camp experience at Lake Hughes, just outside of Los Angeles, at no cost.

The Painted Turtle campers had summer camp activities as horseback riding, arts and crafts, swimming, and archery especially designed to promote independence while increasing self-acceptance and self-esteem.

The facility had volunteer rheumatologists, nurses, and counselors who helped campers enjoy their activities while continuing their medical treatments.

Every dollar raised will help Lupus LA send children with lupus to camp next summer 2011 for an amazing experience.

The Camp Challenge Ride is happening this next Sunday, September 12, 2010

Participation Requirements:

Registration fee costs $25 for all participants and a fundraising goal of $250 for adults or $100 for children 12-17 years of age.
