Right Side of the Tracks

Michael O'Ferrall
I've wandered away off track.

Still headed for a cliff.

All forward momentum, so no looking back.

There's no bridge under me, could you give me a lift?

My wheels are in the sand Lord, but nothings slowing down.

I know you can hear me,

I know you're around.

I don't wanna be lost, Lord.

I want to always stay found.

Only to your word, do I want to remain bound.

The water isn't luke warm, Father,

though it has at times been close.

I put all my faith in you,

my most gracious host.

My wheels are cooling down,

the speed remains the same.

I look down on the ground,

and I forget about all the shame,

Cuz I see another pair of tracks

that were with me for the entire game.

I know where I'm goin now, and theres no turnin back.

Though I've been beaten up, I shall arrive intact.
