According to Media Takeout, Rihanna and Travis Barker are indeed a couple. The gossip site reports that two separate sources have confirmed that the duo is dating, and that Rihanna has been friends with Travis Barker for some time.
So is the world ready for the worlds of hip hop and rock to collide once again? Since Aerosmith and Run DMC teamed up years ago, there's been little interest in continuing to combine music genres, but Rihanna and Travis Barker could change that.
They would definitely make quite the odd couple, but Travis Barker does have a way with the ladies; he has captured the hearts of former Miss USA Shanna Moakler and celebrity socialite Paris Hilton in the past. He also has something in common with one of Rihanna's exes: like Rihanna and Chris Brown, Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler have had the law called on them for a fight (but no charges were filed in their case).
According to Media Takeout, the two aren't just dating, they're also working together. They're set to do a photo shoot together soon, and Rihanna is going to star in Travis Barker's video for "Can a Drummer Get Some". So perhaps the two will work together on a song that combines rock and R&B or hip hop while they're dating.
In the meantime, it looks like Tajah Burton might have to pout for a little while as another alleged lover of Rihanna steps in to steal the spotlight. Tajah Burton has penned a book entitled "Low Down Dirty Shame" in which she claims to have been involved in a lesbian relationship with Rihanna. Tajah Burton also claims to have had lesbian relationships with another well-known R&B artist; a much-older actress; and a reality TV star. She also states in an interviewwith Radar Online that she was surprised to discover many NBA and NFL players that are secretly gay.
Tajah Burton also conveniently had topless photos of herself leak on the web, the perfect ploy to continue to keep her name and her book in the spotlight (it's set to be released sometime in March).
However, drummer Travis Barker might steal her thunder when it comes to Rihanna news, especially if the two confirm that they are dating (confirmation of her stories is definitely something Tajah Burton is lacking right now).
