The Insider on TV will show photos of Rihanna in beach front recovery. While Eonline! reports Rihanna spent the weekend recovering in Punta Mita, Mexico. According to Eonline!, she spent time recently in LA, Barbados, and most recently in Mexico.
I'm sure foreign travels were the only hope for a measure of peace for Rihanna since the highly publicized incident with Chris Brown. Rather than being bombarded by the media, Rihanna has needed time to recover - although physical recovery will come a lot more quickly than emotional recovery - and gather herself for what is sure to be an onslaught of public demand when she is ready to come back.
At 21 years of age, this alleged incident involving Chris Brown has put a lot on a young girl's plate. Women expect her to speak out against violence, yet she is barely a woman herself. She is so young.
The media will hound her for her side of the story, but maybe she is in duck-and-cover mode not only to recover, but on the advice of her lawyer. I'm sure she would hate to say anything to jeopardize a case against the alleged assailant, Chris Brown. Although, the LA district attorney had yet to file charges as of Wednesday, February 25, 2009.
The LA DA continues to drag their feet, or investigate, if that is what they choose to call it, giving Chris Brown time to get into anger management classes. Whether it helps him psychologically it has to help should he appear before a judge.
Meanwhile, despite bruises on Rihanna, her get-away from the public spotlight, Chris Brown's seclusion with family and friends, and Brown's anger management classes Chris Brown gets to carry the tag "alleged." Even though Rihanna clearly wore the bruised and batter tag "beaten."
Fame and money sometimes slow the wheels of justice, let's just hope, in the case of the "alleged" attack on Rihanna by Chris Brown those big wheels keep on turning.

Post a CommentI heard she was thinking about going back to him.
Will this ever end? What a nightmare.
Yes, Tony. I was discussing this with my teenage son today and asked him what he thought the impact on young people and relationships might be -- sadly, he (age 14) didn't seem to think it had an impact - Not that he understands the impact of media on culture, but I was wondering if he saw how other teenagers saw it. Needless to say, we discussed it further!
Unfortunately in today's pop-culture addicted society Chris Brown will be embraced soon after this dies down...he will certainly flourish as a rap artist (artist term used loosely) with his new reputation
