Rihanna's Naked Album Cover Causes an Internet Frenzy

The cover for Rihanna's newest CD Russian Roulette is causing quite a frenzy on the internet. In what could actually be considered not safe for work content, the pop star appears topless wearing a corset. She is not completely topless though, there is the other fact that she's wearing barbed wire.

CNN first said, "Rihanna's rockin' an eyepatch on the cover of her new single ... and not much else!" Comments from CNN's readers hold nothing back as user cat wrote, "No wonder she hangs out with men who beat her up. Based on that picture she has obviously very low self esteem." While supporter Dave C wrote, "Hey kat it's entertainment, get a life."

Rihanna debuted her first single from the album titled by the same name on her website Monday. Russian Roulette is the follow up to her critically acclaimed Good Girl Gone Bad album. The song was written by the artist Ne-Yo. This albus marks the first release since her public break up and altercation with Chris Brown. The album is rated R which means that if you are under 17 you will have to find an adult to purchase it for you. Also on Monday, Perez Hilton released pictures of Rihanna during a video shoot. In those photos she was fully dressed and created no controversy.

Naked photos of Rihanna appeared on Perez Hilton's website in May of 2009. Those photos appeared to have been leaked from an anonymous source. Many of Rihanna's supporters assumed that those pictures were intended for ex boyfriend Chris Brown and that he may have been the one who leaked them.

Chris Brown was charged with felony assault in March 2009 after an attack on Rihanna. In a last minute plea deal the then twenty year old Brown was sentenced to attend a domestic abuse program, 180 days of labor service and five years probation. Brown was also issued to stay away from Rihanna for five years. Pictures of a battered Rihanna appeared on gossip website TMZ which immediately caused an internal investigation within the Los Angeles Police Department. In the photos her face appears severely bruised with swelling.
