Riley's Cafe: Great Cedar Rapids, Iowa Diner

Eastern Iowans looking for some great home cooked food will find it at Riley's Café. This diner has everything you'd expect from a diner, great tasting food, friendly service and a menu full of options. With walls covered with a mix of interesting memorabilia, diners have plenty to keep them interested as the wait for their food.

A great way to start off the day, Riley Café' features over 20 breakfast options served daily until 2:30 pm. From the scrumptious French Toast made from Texas Toast and served hot off the grill to the Heart Stopper, which includes two biscuits topped with country-fried steak and covered with sausage pepper gravy, breakfast lovers will find tempting dishes to satisfy even the heartiest appetite and this popular Cedar Rapids restaurant.

The offerings for lunch are even more expansive. For those who prefer sandwiches and burgers, Riley's Café has a full array of tasty options. From the Roasted Red Burger, a burger topped with roasted red pepper with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle on the side to one of Iowa's favorites a Pork Tenderloin grilled or fried to a golden brown and served on a grilled bun with lettuce and pickle on the side. Most sandwiches come with a choice of waffle fries, cottage cheese or cup of soup on the side.

Lighter menu options include wraps such as the BLT Wrap or salads like the Chicken and Goat Cheese Salad with a mix of greens, goat cheese, toasted almonds, roasted red peppers, grape tomatoes and a drizzle of balsamic.

The kid's menu offers a lot of options for even the most finicky eaters. From a cheese burger, big enough to feed an adult to Mickey Mouse pancake, kids will find something they like at a price parents can appreciate.

Riley's Café changes out the menu for the evening crowd with plenty of tasty offerings to tempt your taste buds including a variety of entrees, sandwiches and pizzas.

Two Locations in Eastern Iowa

Riley's Café has one location in Cedar Rapids. This cozy and popular diner is located right on First Avenue next to Moose McDuffy's and close to St. Luke's Hospital and Coe College. They are open 365 days a year from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm and then again from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm with a special dinner menu.

The other location is in Fairfax, Iowa. This new diner is located right off Highway 151 next to the Dairy Queen. They are open daily from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm and then from 4:30 to 8:30 pm. The Fairfax location has a separate pizzeria location features homemade pizzas available for dine-in or carry out.
