Ringing in the New Year Alcohol-Free

How to Throw a Party Sans Alcohol

Come up with a Stylish Theme

Whether it's a "Disco" or "Casino" theme, you can ring in the 2010 in a fun and unique way.

Back to Basics

Celebrate the New Year with games or for those in the South, a swimming party. Sure, it may seem childish in thought but people can have fun even with the most simple of games. Try Who's Your Mate (Newlywed game) or a Murder Mystery.

Create a Delicious Menu

A potluck of ethic foods from your guests may be another theme idea to host for the party. It'll give your guests a new conversation topic to distract them from the lack of alcohol. However, many of your guests may be trying to avoid holiday food so create a light option for the weight-conscious to snack on.

Serve your guests Virgin Drinks

Choices shouldn't be limited to soda or water simply because alcohol isn't offered at the party.

Virgin Sex On The Beach recipe
1 part orange juice
1 part cranberry juice
1 oz peach nectar
1 tbsp grenadine syrup

Mix equal parts of orange juice and cranberry juice, add nectar, and pour over ice. Sink the grenadine, garnish with a pineapple wedge, and serve.
